우리는 왜 지금, 서호성 작가를 선택했을까.
PNK ART는 큐레이션 브랜드 COLLECT PINK를 통해 ‘Art for Your Wellness’라는 슬로건 아래,
예술을 통해 감정을 회복하고 삶의 감각을 다시 발견하는 경험을 제안합니다. 그래서 우리는 단순히 작품을 잘 만드는 작가보다, 지금 시대를 살아가는 사람들에게 따뜻한 감정의 울림을 전할 수 있는 작가를 중요하게 생각합니다.
서호성 작가의 작업에는 늘 “지금도 충분히 잘하고 있다”는 위로가 담겨 있습니다. 완벽하지 않아도 괜찮고, 때로는 흔들려도 괜찮다고 말해주는 시선. 그 부드러운 감정의 온도는 COLLECT PINK가 지향하는 방향성과 깊이 맞닿아 있습니다.
프랑스에서 패션디자인과 마케팅을 전공한 서호성 작가는 국내외 다수의 전시와 KIAF, Singapore Affordable Art Fair, Urban Break 등 주요 아트페어에 참여해왔습니다. 또한 글로벌 기업 로레알에서 마케팅 디렉터를 역임했으며, LG HAZZYS WOMEN, 로얄살루트, 에스티로더 등 다양한 브랜드와의 협업을 이어왔습니다. 현재는 세라젬 아트 에디션 ‘M8 FIT LIMITED’ 프로젝트를 통해 예술과 라이프스타일의 경계를 확장하고 있습니다.
하지만 이번 전시에서 더욱 주목하고 싶은 것은 그의 화려한 이력이 아니라, 작품 안에 담긴 삶의 태도입니다.
《PADAM PADAM》은 심장의 두근거림에 대한 이야기입니다.
타인의 시선에 맞춰 살아가며 어느새 단단하게 굳어버린 마음이, 어느 순간 다시 미세하게 흔들리는 감각. 그리고 결국 ‘진짜 나’를 마주하게 되는 용기에 대한 이야기입니다.
이번 전시는 불안 속에서도 자신만의 리듬으로 살아가는 용기, 관계 안에서 발견하는 따뜻함, 그리고 오늘의 작은 행복들을 이야기합니다. 서로 다른 모습으로 살아가지만 결국 우리는 모두 조금씩 위로받기를 원한다는 사실을, 작가는 담담하면서도 따뜻한 시선으로 보여줍니다.

Why Did We Choose Artist Seo Ho-sung, Right Now?
Under the slogan “Art for Your Wellness,”
PNK ART, through its curation brand COLLECT PINK, proposes experiences that help people restore their emotions and rediscover the senses of everyday life through art.
That is why we value not only artists who create beautiful works, but artists who can deliver a warm emotional resonance to people living in today’s world.
Seo Ho-sung’s work always carries a quiet message:
“You are already doing enough.”
A gaze that tells us it is okay not to be perfect, and okay to feel shaken at times.
The gentle emotional warmth within his work deeply aligns with the direction COLLECT PINK pursues.
Having studied fashion design and marketing in France, Seo Ho-sung has participated in numerous exhibitions and major art fairs both in Korea and internationally, including KIAF, Singapore Affordable Art Fair, and Urban Break. He previously served as a Marketing Director at L’Oréal and has collaborated with various global brands such as LG HAZZYS WOMEN, Royal Salute, and Estée Lauder. Most recently, he expanded the boundary between art and lifestyle through the Ceragem Art Edition project, “M8 FIT LIMITED.”
Yet what we hope audiences focus on in this exhibition is not merely his impressive career, but the attitude toward life reflected in his work.
PADAM PADAM is a story about the heartbeat.
It speaks of hearts that have gradually hardened while trying to live according to others’ expectations, then slowly begin to tremble once again — eventually finding the courage to face one’s true self.
This exhibition reflects on the courage to live in one’s own rhythm despite uncertainty, the warmth discovered within relationships, and the small moments of happiness found in everyday life.
Though we all live differently, the artist gently reminds us that deep down, we all long to be comforted in some way.
COLLECT PINK in Seocho, where this exhibition takes place, is not a space for quickly consuming artworks, but a place where emotions can quietly stay and linger.
Alongside the warm sunlight of May, soft music, and a cup of coffee, many of Seo Ho-sung’s new works will be unveiled for the first time.
